OVpay makes checking in and out ever easier! Discover in the animation what is already possible and how checking in and out with your debit or credit card works.

Check in and out however you want

OVpay is the new way of checking in and out in public transport in the Netherlands. What's new? If you travel in second class, without discounts of subscription, you get the freedom to decide what way you want to check in and out! With your contactless debit card or credit card, the debit card on your mobile phone, or the OV-chipkaart or ticket you are already familiar with.

You choose what fits you best. OVpay is already available in multiple spots in the Netherlands, and will be available everywhere.

Responses to a trial with OVpay in The Hague and Leiden (2019):

It’s easy, you don’t have to worry about topping up your OV-chipkaart anymore.

Petra de Vos

Paying after you travel is really the perfect system; you only pay for the trips you’ve made.

Mert Besli

Saartje de Vries
